Issue:Cheap imitation resin, combined with wrong ratio and wrong type of aggregate laid over a badly prepared existing subbase.
Outcome:This has lead to the catastrophic failure of this driveway in a short period of time.
The only way to rectify this problem would be to remove all the existing resin and prepare the subbase properly and then apply the correct resin bound mix . This initial job cost this unfortunate family around 15k. To remove all the failing surface and do the job properly would cost around 20k. Sometimes the cheapest quote is just false economy.
